Flawless! We all want a flawless finish look when we apply our make-up, well this is exactly what you get when you use the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. This product is among the most talked about beauty product in the last few years and even now with the launch of the new dark shade. I’m not one to buy into trends immediately, so I definitely was late to try it out. I have combination/oily skin, so most foundations I use tend to make my face oily after few hours. Anyways after all the rave about the powder, I decided to purchase it and see for myself and I must say it was probably my best make-up buy.
What is The Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder?
This is a silky light-weight setting powder. The finish look is matte with a touch of sheer and with this product, less is more. I’ve tried using this product on different occasions and I preferred times when I used less product. It gives a photo ready look when compared to other translucent loose powders where they leave white casts in pictures. This product in comparison with similar loose powders is the best I’ve ever used! I really don’t know how I survived without it. it gives a perfect finish to your make-up. Very light-weight, smooth and silky finish, it make your face feel as though you have no make-up on. It’s perfect for baking the under-eye concealer and it blends your foundation so effortlessly. I honestly cannot recommend this product enough. It’s the real deal guys.
***NEWS ALERT*** – There is a new shade which is meant to work better with medium to deep dark skin tone. It’s meant to give a more effortless blend for darker skin. I’m yet to try it but when I do, I’ll be doing a review. If you have tried it, leave a comment down below. I’ll love to read your thoughts on it.
Price & Packaging
One reason it took me forever to purchase The Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder was the price. The powder retails for £24.65. It contains 1.0 oz /29g of products and I purchased the powder from the Feel Unique website. You can also get it from Birchbox
The powder comes in a loose form in a little cream coloured plastic container with a brownish lid. Ones you open the lid, you see a perforated bit where you release the powder but you have to be careful, If not it can make a huge mess.
- Gives a flawless silky/matte finish
- Photo ready. No white cast
- If you are not careful, it can make a huge mess.
- It might be too matte for some users.
- The powder is not travel friendly.
In conclusion, I’m in love with this gem and if you are considering getting one, then without a doubt go for it. It’s real value for money and it’s definitely worth it. I love love love it guys.
I’ll like to know your thoughts on this so definitely comment below.
