New Year, New You, New Box! Today is all about my Birchbox January box review. I just thought I’d show you guys what I got in my January box.
As a quick recap from my last Birchbox post, in each box you get 5 beauty products. The items sometimes vary but you can expect to get anything from a make-up item to skincare, haircare or bodycare for just £10.00 per month plus £2.95 p&p. In case you want to subscribe and try them out, use my link https://www.birchbox.co.uk/invite/1q8p5.
So what did I get in the month of January you may ask? I got the following items (click on the product should you wish to purchase);
- Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream in Acai Grapefruit
- Prismologie – Yellow Day Body Lotion
- Nail inc Nail polish in le vernis a ongles (looks gold to me lol)
- ModelCo Crème Rouge (full size)
- Merci Handy Hand Cream (full size)
The Whish shave cream is definitely one I won’t be using because I do not use shaving creams I wax so I can’t and wont be able to make any serious comment about it. One thing I can say however is the fact that I love the smell of it. It has a citrusy smell that I like. Actually another thing I can say is that the sample size is really small I doubt you can get enough cream to shave half a leg.
I like the Yellow Day body lotion, it feels very hydrating and the kind of smell you get it as though you’ve been to a spa, it’s got a nice and lovely texture to it not sure I’ll be getting the full size just because I’ve got a product I use now and I’m very happy with. The full size retails for £35 that will pay for two course meal for two people with a Groupon voucher lol …. No Thank You!
This has to be my least favourite item in the January box. I don’t like gold or anything associated with gold and the nail wear I got happened to be gold even though its meant to be pink according to the insert that came with the box.
I’m not one to use creamy blushes tbh, I’ve never used them before so to receive a full size in my January box was amazing. One thing I noticed about this blush + lip cream is that it’s very creamy but not pigmented. You have to really dig into the product to really see the colour especially on a dark skin like mine. So you have to be careful with the use of this product as you don’t want to go out looking like a clown.
This hand cream is my favourite in the box. The scent of this hand cream is to die for like literally I couldn’t stop smelling my hands lol. It’s probably not the most hydrating product but if you looking for a normal hand cream then this will do. With a retail price of £4.90 for a 30 ml bottle, you can never go wrong.
Be on the look out for my February box..
Love Dee xoxo
